In the land of the tradeshow, the booth with the prize wheel is king.
Perhaps it’s in our nature as humans to be attracted to things that create excitement. Perhaps it’s the inner child in all of us that loves prizes and the luck of the draw. No matter what it is, prize wheels are a great way to draw positive attention to your booth. If done correctly, the prize wheel does not come off as a gimmick or an annoying extra but as a productive selling tool that will make breaking the ice with your prospects that much easier.
Some ideas for using prize wheels:
- Run a contest for prizes from your product line. What better way to place a sample in a customer’s hands than to add the value of having won that sample
- While prospects are in line waiting to spin the wheel, engage them in conversation about your product or services.
- Use any of our wonderful colored templates to swap out prizes and ideas between shows, or even dates at the same show. Prize slot swapping is easy and inexpensive. Little to no graphic design experience needed for most prize slot templates.
- If your prize wheel has some prizes and some empty or no-prize slots, encourage those that didn’t “win” by giving away a promotional product or handout as a consolation prize. That way, everyone’s a winner!
